Anecdote is a Dutch ready-to-wear fashion brand, based in the 9 straatjes of Amsterdam. The brand sells classic, minimalistic and timeless clothes. The Fall/Winter ’16 collection consists V necks and prints, poplin shirts and oversized items. Feminine when wearing heels, more manly style when combined with sneakers. The color palette starts with primary colors navy, black and grey and secondary colors cream, forest green and bordeaux.

About the location
The editorial is shot in the INK Hotel Amsterdam, located in the former headquarter of Dutch newspaper ‘De Tijd’. This four star lifestyle hotel does not just have a nice design; every detail is there for a reason. As soon as you step in the building, you know what the hotel is about. You will find typewriters, pens and inkwells. The hotelroom provides you with a notebook so you can write your story. The walls of the hotelrooms are designed by Jan Rothuizen, a Dutch artist in drawing and writing. They used the former press where they printed the newspapers with, to design the bathrooms. Like I said, every part of the hotel tells you it’s background.

The herfst/winter ’16 collectie bestaat uit V-halzen en printjes, poplin shirts en oversized items. Vrouwelijk bij het dragen van hakken, meer mannelijke stijl in combinatie met sneakers. Het kleurenpalet begint met primaire kleuren navy, zwart en grijs en secundaire kleuren crème, bos groen en bordeaux.

Het lookbook is geschoten in het INK Hotel Amsterdam, gevestigd in het voormalige hoofdkwartier van de Nederlandse krant ‘De Tijd’. Dit vier sterren lifestyle hotel heeft niet zomaar een mooi design; elk detail is er voor een reden. Je vindt er typemachines, pennen en inktpotjes. De hotelkamer geeft je een notebook, zodat jij jouw verhaal kan schrijven. De muren van de hotelkamers zijn ontworpen door Jan Rothuizen, een Nederlandse teken en schrijf artiest. Ze gebruikten de vroegere pers waar ze de kranten mee printte om de badkamers te ontwerpen. Zoals ik al zei, elk deel van het hotel vertelt je haar achtergrond.
