Burberry Fall 19 Ready To Wear

Forgive me if I’m a little excited, you see just yesterday I was lucky enough to attend my first ever Burberry show under the direction of Mr Tisci, and what ladies and gents, what a show it was.
Located at the Tate Modern, the show spanned across two different rooms with two completely different atmospheres,  providing a hint of the direction of the show which featured looks that would speak to both the classic English sophisticate, and the bold streetwise millennial.

This show was the perfect combination of the classic Burberry aesthetic with Ricardo Tisci style futurism, and I am here for it all, deconstructed rugby shirts and slogans included. For me though, the key to this collection lies in the looks that are distinctly and beautifully the Burberry we have always loved, but shouts to modern audience who seek something both distinctive and unique from their luxury investments – think the ever so recognisable Burberry trench emblazoned with branding or union jack flags attached to black puffer jackets and dresses constructed of tonal leathers creating somewhat of a Burberry heaven.

While there were certainly individual pieces that caught my eye (and landed firmly on my must have list), one of the biggest takeaways from this show is the purposeful and considered thought of the full look, sometimes consisting of 6 or 7 different items at a time layered and constructed so perfectly, you’ll never think of an ‘outfit’ in the same way again.

Ricardo Tisci describes Burberry as more than just a brand, it’s a lifestyle… and one that I’m ready to enthusiastically adopt. If you need me, you can find me in London wandering there streets of Piccadilly in my tonal camel ensemble for the world to see.. xx

A special thank you to Burberry for hosting me and an amazing experience
