Apothecary Inspiration for the Weekend

Wish my weekend was about to be this beautiful and relaxing but it won’t be as I will be working, attending recitals and prepping for my trip to Italy soon! For now I can dream of it being as spa-life as this scene from Frama’s apothecary collection.

A New Book, Share

A new book of photography had been released by Frama as part of a collaborative effort with The New Heroes & Pioneers. The book is called Share and features 50 pieces of artwork that explore design, projects and the work of Frama.

Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair 2018

This year’s fair in Stockholm last week brought brands showing a lot of earth tones, rounded lines and not many slim lines. Other colors that were common were shades of purple, grey, yellow and lots of nude. As promised, Ulrika attended the event and s…

Frama Studio Store

There were so many amazing places I wanted to visit when I was in Copenhagen; and high on my list was the Frama Studio Store. As the name suggests, it is a studio-cum-store, a space for Frama to showcase and sell all their wonderful designs. It’s such a beautiful space, very calming, and filled with […]

In the kitchen

Our weekend wasn’t very eventful, unless you consider washing cabinets and drawers some kind of twisted version of excitement. And what do you do when your kitchen is feeling ultra clean and you know that with two kids under 7, it won’t remain like this for long? Take a picture, of course. Then spend the rest of the day trying to maintain its pristine condition in spite of meals and snacks for 4 people.

Also, you might remember this vintage Japanese brass spoon from the souvenirs I brought home from L.A. last month? It’s from Gjusta Goods.

Menswear store W19 by Frama

Frama does more than design shelving, lighting and interior accessories. It’s more than just an apothecary, a kitchen and store front, they also design for the interior architecture of commercial spaces as well. Take the Wardrobe 19 store at Istedgade …

Using yellow in interiors

In the past I have been opposed to yellow in general, speaking out against it and then only mildly in favor of it in posts past. Generally speaking I’m not one to get excited about bright colors, but what’s the point of an opinion if you can’t change it? Lately I’ve seen more golden mustard yellows and I am really warming up to the look, especially when paired with another warm neutral like a pale brown or taupe.

Above is pictured a project by Claude Missir and features Synapse pendant lights from Apparatus Studio.

A bathroom with an amazing yellow sink and toilet.

I’ve also gathered a few more favorites in this golden yellow shade below, including a non-interior piece, a dress by Lauren Manoogian that is just the perfect warm color for Spring.

As we’re coming out of winter I feel like it’s a good time to freshen things up in the house. I’ve got some great bedroom decor ideas from brands like Menu and West Elm.

4 minimal shelving systems

Birthed from my own personal need for storage, here are 4 options for minimal storage systems. We have a great low profile shelf in our living room from Menu (which you can see here) but in our bedroom I’m looking for a taller and broader shelf unit to…
