Scandinavian Home Office Essentials

I’ve been looking at some of my favourite interior design brands and have come up with this wish list of products for my perfect Scandinavian home office.

Frama Studio Store

There were so many amazing places I wanted to visit when I was in Copenhagen; and high on my list was the Frama Studio Store. As the name suggests, it is a studio-cum-store, a space for Frama to showcase and sell all their wonderful designs. It’s such a beautiful space, very calming, and filled with […]

Could You Live With Less?

When people talk about ‘less is more’ they’re probably not suggesting you sell all your prized possessions and live in an empty white box. It’s a phrase that was first used in design by the architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and he explained it as having ‘the greatest effect with the least means’.

New Season Bedroom Accessories

As we’re coming out of winter I feel like it’s a good time to freshen things up in the house. I’ve got some great bedroom decor ideas from brands like Menu and West Elm.

Calming Minimalist Bedroom Moodboard

For me, a bedroom should feel relaxed and comfortable, a place in which you can unwind in the evening and feel invigorated when you wake in the morning. What can make you feel these things is different for everyone.

Minimalist Christmas Decorations

Have you put up your Christmas decorations, yet? No, then you’re not alone, apparently most people are expected to decorate their houses this weekend. I insisted Dan buy a Christmas tree last week but the poor tree has sat unloved for the whole week whilst I’ve been running across town for various events. So for me […]

Velvet At Home

Today I see velvet everywhere I look, it’s become the ubiquitous fabric of the season. For a long time velvet was not cool, usually reserved for those of a more mature age with very traditional homes.

India May Home Favourites

So excited to have discovered an awesome new British homeware brand, India May Home. Founder and creator, Karen Birchenough describes the brand’s style as ‘Scandi-boho’, a combination I can easily relate to. Their products combine Scandinavian minimalism with more ethnic designs from Moroccan and Indian cultures. Each design has been commissioned from skilled artisans that Karen makes […]

Coffee Table Details with Arlo & Jacob

I’m so happy to have been featured on Arlo & Jacob‘s website this weekend. If you haven’t heard of them yet, they’re sofa specialists that make all their sofas and chairs here in the UK, in Long Eaton. They’re style is quite Scandinavian which is what drew them to my attention. However, if your idea […]

Minimal Bathroom Styling Tips

I’ve been using Pinterest for interior design inspiration again, this time for some minimal bathroom styling tips. It’s always so interesting to see what people choose to display in their bathrooms and how they choose to do so. It’s a very personal room and, unlike the living and dining room areas of a home, one […]

That Fresh Home Smell

This little bottle has changed my home. I have lots of candles, diffusers and flowers around the house but this is the first time I’ve tried a room spray. Compagnie de Provence‘s Mediterranean Sea room spray was given to me by a friend last week and she’s converted me, just like that. I love the scent […]

Blue Edition

There’s nothing lewd about this post, in fact it’s all rather clean. I’m actually referring to Compagnie de Provence’s Blue Edition, three limited edition bottles of their Mediterranean Sea fragranced liquid Marseille soap; they’re essentially a functional piece of artwork for your bathroom or kitchen. The three bottles were the result of a new project with […]

Style&Minimalism x La Cerise sur le Gâteau

As you’re probably already aware, I’m more than a little interested in fashion but my interest in design doesn’t end there. When I’m not blogging I work as a graphic designer – I have my own little agency and I mostly work on projects for the fashion industry. And, (when I can find time to squeeze it in) I do a bit of work on my home, a Victorian cottage I share with my boyfriend in London. My interior design style is quite minimalist too but with a dash of Victorian charm. The most recent additions to my place have been these fun cushions by La Cerise sur le Gâteau, a French brand that make the most gorgeous and quirky homewares. The lovely peeps over at La Cerise sur le Gâteau are offering three of my wonderful followers a chance to win one of their beautiful cushions (you don’t have…Continue Reading
