Oslo Bedroom : Final look

Most of the times when we see a before and after we expect the before to look quite horrible. In this case I think after the redo the bedroom looks so much more beautiful, but it still looked great before, it just needed a little love. Here you can see…

Before and After Oslo Bedroom Sneak Peek

A couple of days ago I teased about redoing my bedroom here in Oslo. Above you can see how it looked before, it was all white with beautiful grey floors. I kept the floors as they were, however I painted the walls and the windows and created new a…

A tip for you on a snowy day

Ad // Sponsored post in collaboration with Ellos.
Waking up today and seeing the first snow fall out of my window really made me appreciate staying in bed and working from in between my covers. With an amazing view from both the bedroom windows and a hot cup of tea really the only reason I got up was to snap quickly some photos, then tuck myself back in and put my mac on my lap so I could work for the next few hours.
And since I am spending a few precious hours in bed,I have a tip for you today, if you are looking for a conscious choice when it comes to sheets of good quality that are budget friendly. The Juliette Organic Cotton range from Ellos is not only environmentally friendly, but very soft and comfortable as well. The colors vary, mine as seen in the photos is Kittgrå , a beautiful shade between Ecru and gray. Can you blame me for not wanting to get up?

Bedroom Sneak Peek in Oslo

So much good response on Tuesdays post about the Thorvald Meyersgate apartment, thank you so much for all your kind words! I am so glad everyone loved this collab between me and Elisabeth Heier, we will be working on more things together so keep an eye for upcoming news!

Today I wanted to take the opportunity and talk a little bit about last few weeks, I have fallen behind on the blog due to a lot of work, travelling etc, but I promise I will make it up going forward. I feel the blog is my own personal space that nothing affects it ( instagram changing the algorithm for example ), so I feel bad I haven’t been able to find time to update it more often last month. I am not using this as an excuse but if you are following me on instagram you know I have almost not been at home at all, so now I am so happy to finally get the time to work without distractions.  For the next couple of days, I have planned to finally show you where I have been in detail ( again sneak peeks of which I have shared on my instagram along with stories so if you dont follow me there, you really should!), what has caught my eye recently (favorites, places, just about everything really), and some new additions on the blog. I dont want to reveal too much but it has to do with something a lot of people have been asking me lately, so I hope it is going to be a welcome addition!

Finally having some free time has also led to being able to organise the apartment in Oslo a little bit more. It still has way to go until it is finished, but at least I got a bed and the bedroom is now my favorite place to spend time in! So far it is very simple of course but it still has a nice vibe, and really it is not going to be filled with things anyway. I am lucky that the apartment has a walk in closet so I dont need a rail for my clothes ( although I might regardless since I have one in mind that looks great), but I might instead use the space for a small office. And paint! I didnt let the owner paint the walls since I wanted to make my own decision on what colors! Either way, it wont take me too long to make up my mind, I only rent this apartment for a year and I want to make every week count. Tip : There always going to be sneak peeks on my instagram if you cant wait for a blogpost ;)

Spending time in the bedroom

Ad // Sponsored post in collaboration with Room21.no
These past few weeks of constant travelling between Norway/Denmark/Sweden has taken a little bit of a toll on me and I found myself taken with the common cold/flu, probably a bug from the airplane/airport air. I have found a new appreciation in my bedroom, having to spend all day in it for several days has added to that profoundly. This should go without saying, making the bedroom a comfortable and familiar space to be in, but since I have spend even more time here I changed my side of the bed to fit my needs.
I am sure you have seen glimpses on my instagram, I recently got 2 items from Room21.no  from their Menu selection (Menu is among just a few of the leading Scandinavian brands that can be found in Room21) , the Standard Bordlampe and the Jewelry Box in white oak. Never underestimate how useful a lamp can be next to you, no matter how many hours you spend in bed or not, this one sheds the softest light ( adjustable) , while the Jewelry box is really useful for anything you want to hide. I tend to take off all my accessories before I sleep and since my cat likes to play with everything, it is best to just hide them away. The box can be open or closed, it looks great either way, plus the clever design with the mirror makes it very versatile for quick touch ups in the morning. Danish design, you can hardly go wrong with it :)

Simple frame styling with Desenio and a 25% discount code.

Ad // Sponsored post in collaboration with Desenio.no

As I am packing to move in a few weeks I am constantly wondering what to take with me and how I will style the new apartment. Since it is a rental there are some restrictions although instead of being bothered by it I think it is actually quite fun to find solutions to work around any styling problems. One of the most common is hanging anything on the walls, but while some cannot be helped ( big furniture etc ) , some can have interesting solutions instead! When it comes to frames thankfully they look great on the floor just as much as on the wall, if anything I think I prefer them this way at this point.
With the help of Desenio and their great variety of posters and frames I think I am off to a good start on making a nice little frame corner don’t you think? I started with a few frames and few foggy botanical posters and I will be adding more of this collection soon, I find the bigger this frame arrangement the better it looks.

A small tip for you : Leave a few of the frames empty, it makes for a more delicate arrangement while at the same time it doesn’t look overly styled!

The frames I used are from Moebe and they can also be found at Desenio under their Frames category. When it comes to botanical posters they can all be found under the Botanical category . My top picks and the ones I chose as shown in this post are :

1 | Misty Poster  2 | Palm Silhouette  3 | Foggy Poster

As a bonus I am happy to share a code with all of you that Desenio created for all my readers. Use  code “ONLYDECOLOVE” for 25% off your order at Desenio between 6th – 8th of June ( not valid for handpicked/frames ). Since the code is active for only two days this is the best time to to update your photo wall, or if you prefer my way, create a new frame corner in your living room or bedroom or even at the office!

Sunday tips

Ad // Sponsored post in collaboration with Stelton.
I love having some flowers in the house, I am not a big bouquet kind of person but a few select blooms always lift up my mood. Today I took a short walk outside and discovered a small bed of wild poppies, they are so beautiful even when not in full bloom! I selected a variation of them (some with closed some with bloomed buds) so they would look even more delicate in the vase by the bed. And here is my tip of the day which I am sure you saw coming, when spring is in the air, always try to venture out in case you find a hidden flower bed, wild flowers are so much more beautiful in my eyes than any other flowers! And much more economical as well ;)
For the vase I chose the new Concave Vase from Stelton ( mine is in size medium) designed by Søren Refsgaard. I really like how the powder coated aluminum body contrasts with the polished steel ring top, I have been using mine just as decoration without any flowers in the last few weeks, it looks great with or without blooms!

The other new addition in the bedroom is the carafe I am currently using (always have water by the bed) also from Stelton and it is their new Emma serving Jug 2l along with their Simply Glass glasses in grey. The Emma pitcher combines stainless steel and a beach wood handle for a contemporary look, while the glasses are in minimalistic design with the gray shade elevating them from the ordinary. You can see them also in my kitchen here , I will move the pitcher around the house during the day, as for the glasses, it is always good to have more than 12 as a set so there are always extra when you need them!

Fresh starts and memories

As my move to Oslo draws closer and closer and I am starting to organize what I will be bringing with me , I can’t help but also think of what I will be leaving behind. The house I live in, although far from perfect, it has been my home for the last few years and I have had many good memories here. The room I will miss the most however is definitely the bedroom. I am sure I will make a cozy nook in my new apartment however I doubt it will be better than this newly renovated one. Even on a cleaning day (photo below), this space has so much character and charm, but instead of feeling sad for leaving it I will focus on feeling excited for a fresh start! The bedroom doesn’t have a lot of furniture so by default I will not be taking too much with me (something I am thankful for), but I will probably need some sort of extra storage space, something to think about in the future though. I am sharing some photos today of some of my favorite nooks from my bedroom, scroll down for more!
In other news, I am travelling to Zurich tomorrow in a surprise destination, so this is a good time to be checking on my instagram stories, as I am always updating them often when traveling! I wont reveal too much here,  I think since this is not a trip for a fair , some mystery will be nice! See you on my stories!

New additions : Muuto Ripple Throw

While at Stockholm Furniture and Light fair, one of my highlights was the Muuto stand. I experienced first hand some of my favorites from the new designs : The Outline chair by Anderssen & Voll , the new Ripple throw by Margrethe Odgaard and the beautiful new Workshop chair by Cecilie Manz . I think I jumped for joy when I opened the door today to find out I had a Muuto delivery that contained one of the Ripple throws in a beautiful auburn brown color. The fabric is quite unique, it looks monochrome at a quick glance from far away however, as one gets closer all the beautiful intricate details are revealed in its textured form. It is just the right amount of color for my bedroom as well, a perfect companion to the rest of the colors.

Beige in the Bedroom : Early Spring signs

Ad // Sponsored post in collaboration with Ellos. All opinions are my own.
As the weather continues to surprise us every day, from intense snowing to intense sunlight and warmth after just a few hours, I can’t help but dream of spring. While for most people spring translates to bright yellows, greens and pinks, to me all the exploding colors of the nature outside are enough, which is why I chose to bring spring inside my bedroom with various tones of beige, a color that to me represents tranquility and mindfulness.  In other words, perfect combination for the bedroom! I like to change my pillows often but when it comes to the fabric, I almost always stick to linen. I have had my eye on a particular design of pillowcases on Ellos Home for some time now and when they arrived on Friday I was so glad to see they fit with my plan perfectly. The pillowcases Putevar Candra in washed linen come in many different combinations, but I chose a plain white/silver so it would pop out against with my beige duvet covers and the rest the pillows. As the weather gets warmer I find that linen is perfect to sleep on, so all my bed covers are in linen as well by choice. My duvet covers are the Sengesett Candice in washed linen  (color beige), while the ice blue/white blanket is the Pledd Hannelin in washed linen (color grey-blue) also from Ellos home. And with this change of color, I am happy until summer!

Bedroom Update

Ad // Sponsored post in collaboration with Ellos. All opinions are my own.

I have been wondering what to put on the other side of the bed for a long time now ( you can see my side here ) as up until this point it was actually empty. Due to the bed taking a lot of room and its alignment under the window , this side has very little space as it is and I did not want to overwhelm it. I found that the best solution was to mount a lamp on the wall directly above the shelf, this way there is still just as much space as before for everything else I might want to include! I found my lamp on Ellos Home , it is the K-Fab Vegglampe Dexter and I combined it with an Edison type bulb the Led lyspære 64 mm that emits a soft  yellowish light. I hid the long wire behind some books and with the addition of a pilea on a stool and some books, this corner is now finally looking exactly as I had in my mind. The lamp can easily move from side to side completely which makes it ideal for this corner of my bedroom. I really like how a small addition can change a corner completely and this one took me less than 15minutes to achieve (see how it looked before here). Ellos extensive lamp selection can be found at Ellos- Belysning while there is a special offer of 40% off the most expensive item during the whole weekend in your basket, if you want to make a similar change as I did now is a good chance!

Intimate Valentines Day

Ad // Sponsored post in collaboration with Ellos. All opinions are my own.

It is Valentines day today and even though I am not a super fan of the holiday, I am always up for a any excuse to make brownies and take out the new tableware and cutlery. While at the Oslo Design Fair I stopped by Bloomingville’s exhibition where immediately  a set of handmade ceramic tableware caught my eye. The line Sandrine (the plates and cups I used)  can be found at Ellos Home (among with an array of other Bloomingville designs) as well as the black cutlery I combined them with. I would have loved to get some anemones for the day (or any day as they are among my favorite flowers), however I did not find any so that tradition for the day will remain unfulfilled. There is plenty of chocolate though, a homemade brownie (I spoiled the surprise with the recipe in this post a few weeks ago ) and delicious chocolates from Chokladefabriken that I brought from Stockholm. We chose to spend the morning in bed, enjoying a cup of coffee after we prepared the brownies with the ice cream with chocolate upon chocolate. If anything, the day calls for it ;)

His…
And hers…

A good idea if you prefer enjoying a more toned down version of the day, is of course to light a candle or burn some incense. I bought a candle just for today while in Stockholm, and I avoided burning it until this very morning. This way it feels a little bit more special even if it something that can be done at any day of the week. I also bought the most beautiful brass incense holder , as seen below, but burning both can be overwhelming, so best to chose either one or the other.

Linen Love

Since I renovated the bedroom in the house ( you can see before and after photos here) , I find myself spending more and more time there. The newly painted white floors, the soft grey walls, the oak furniture, it is all calling out to me. I had my hesitations about painting the rest of the floor downstairs but after 2 months have passed, I see the floor paint is holding out really well, so I will go ahead and finish up the whole floor. Regardless of the color of the floors however, if I have any tips for a quick bedroom makeover is to invest in new good quality linens. From sheets and pillowcases to linen throws, I have not looked back since I changed all my old sheets and bedwear. I find they add so much to the feel of the room, and they are so comfortable and soft to sleep in as well. As you can see today it is cleaning day downstairs which means fresh linens and delicious fresh throws!

My Bedroom : Before and After and a giveaway!

Ad // Sponsored post in collaboration with Ellos. All opinions are my own.

( In collaboration with Ellos and to celebrate finishing the renovation of the bedroom I am hosting a giveaway for 3000NOK each with two winners. More information and how to enter at the end of this post).

This week I finally put the finishing touches to the bedroom and today I am happy to share the final result along with some before and after pictures. Here is what the bedroom looked like before I started the renovation, dark laminated floors, brown walls, a questionable choice of brown wallpaper and brown furniture. I originally only painted the walls about a year ago but I wasn’t very happy with the result so I decided to commit to giving it a proper facelift this time around. With the help of a lot of paint, some tools and some choice selections from Ellos I created a look that is very representative of my style. Read on below to find out how I changed the look of the bedroom with minimal effort and on a good budget!

First of all I build a fake shelf under the window ( before photo of the same view as the photo above ) using wooden panels that I later painted on the exact color as the wall so the box would blend in and become part of the room. The box serves both as a shelf but also as a headrest for the bed that was moved under the window. I threw all the old furniture (expect for the bed that was new) and painted the walls a soft grey and the floors along with the lists I painted white. ( The painting process took about a week since I have to wait between layers of paint to dry. There are many floor paints out now that do not require sanding the floors first, so I recommend painting the floors heartily).

After the floor was dry I moved in the bed. As can be seen here the bed was also brown so I decided to cover it completely with linens for a softer look. I used a simple white linen bed gown  and an extra linen sheet from Ellos to drape over the bed ( the bed is in layers so I decided it was best to also dress it in layers for a more uniform look). In this way there is no need to change the bed to change its look, and when I want a different color combination than white I can simply change the bed gown. Next step was to hang a white linen canopy above the bed ( the exact same one I used can be found here). After the canopy was set, I dressed the bed with new linens ( I used these ones in a beautiful beige color), brought in a chair and a marble side table , and added some details in the form of plants, books and a mirror to complete the look. I always have an extra blanket on the bed during winter, this linen one can also double as a carpet ( you can see how I used it in this post in my living room)!

Tip :: I also painted the pots in the same color of the wall so they would blend in! Try it not only when you want to make your pots blend seamlessly with the room like I did but also if you are just tired of their color!

//Photography and Styling by Katerina Dima
Do you want to also change a room in your house like I did? Just leave a comment below with your email address and you can win a 3000 NOK gift card for Ellos ! There will be two winners for 3000NOK each and the giftcard can be used for the whole store. If you want an extra chance to enter, head over to my instagram and leave a comment there as well! Good luck!

The winners will be announced in a different post both on the blog and instagram on the 1st of January 2017.

Bedroom Sneak Peek

I promised I would share my new bedroom before November ended, and while it is not quite ready yet I am so happy with the result I am posting a sneak peak. I don’t want to reveal too much since a post with all the details (and before photos) will be up soon, but I will share some information and answer some questions I have been asked a lot.
We moved in yesterday night after letting the floors dry ( painted white) for a few days. So far the paint is holding on quite well although I did put protecting pads under every single furniture that I moved in, including the bed. The only problem is the floor will get dirtier faster, even after a few days and while it was empty, however it is nothing a simple quick swipe with a broom wont fix. I am proceeding with painting the rest of the floors downstairs starting from today so everything is going to be a mess at least until Christmas.
After we moved the bed in, the only furniture that made the cut were the bed (along with its linens), a marble side table, a table lamp, a pilea plant, a Bluetooth speaker and some hand care creams.
I returned from Bergen without the IVAR cabinets I wanted to place opposite the bed since they were completely out of stock, so I will have to wait for them or find another storage solution. I do not wish to overcrowd the bedroom, so other than a little bit of storage, a mirror (the Georg mirror from Skagerak is perfect) maybe a basket and am extra chair, I will not be adding too much.
For now, even as empty, I am very happy with the look, I am really looking forward to it finishing though, and hopefully the IVAR cabinets will restock quite soon!

Next week planning

//Photos by Katerina Dima
As the week draws to an end I find I am always at my busiest. Shoots, styling, extra paperwork, they all seem to accumulate during the weekend more than during the week. On top of working, I have some plans for next week and hopefully by the end of it I will have some results already to share.
Some of my thoughts and plans

:: Painting Plans | When it comes to the bedroom and the first floor, I am finally painting the floors and of course I am going with white or light grey. I am mostly doing this because it gives me the freedom to otherwise experiment with the wall colors! I have wanted for so long to paint in dark shades (grey or blue) and while the floors are a dark shade of red wood it just doesn’t make for a coherent final result. I am so excited for this specific change, it will change the whole look of all the rooms downstairs.
:: Reading Plans | I am becoming an even bigger bookworm than I already was, so I thought a kindle was in order. I have accumulated already so many books in it, I am already half way through Three Sisters ,  Three Queens by Phillipa Gregory from her Tudor court novels and I am planning on finishing it this weekend.
:: Travelling Plans | I am visiting Copenhagen around mid December and due to Christmas I have to plan earlier than usual. I have also to make time to stop by for a coffee and a chat at my favorite showrooms and check the new renovated spaces. You better believe the new Copenhagen Cereal guide is going to be my most trustworthy companion!

New month, new week, new day.

I find Mondays are easier if I start working from bed. Whoever thought a portable computer is a good idea deserves more credit than they get. Usually I try to go for my daily run as soon as I wake up but today I will postpone it for a few hours. I hope rain wont ruin my plans for later. Here’s to a brand new month, week and day!

My Comfy Bed

Today is one of those days that I just don’t want to get out of bed.A photo can say more than a thousands words and what I feel today can be described by looking at the photos above.Laptop between the sheets, a warm chocolate and my phone on the side. Simple things make me happy. I will stay here, browse my favorite blogs and dream about vacation locations. If you like to see what I am thinking about, visit my Pinterest Board Dreamy Locations. From destinations to Hotels this is going to be my go to reference/to do list.Very much a work in progress since I just started it, but remember to add it to your following list, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Bedroom Talk

A few days ago I changed my bed sheets to fit the summer mood to linen (just a few blogposts ago).I love how they look, little bit wrinkly and soft, but most importantly, very absorbing (when it comes to sweating) with a cool feel which is what I am looking for during summer days. There is nothing I look more forward to, than to get in bed with my Macbook and a warm drink, after all, who needs a desk all day long? I like to mix where I sit so I don’t get too tired of the same view, and with a cozy bed nook like that I don’t see why not spend more time in the bedroom. As a small note, I just checked on the sheets so I could buy them in a different color, and all colors in all sizes are sold out! I am glad I got them when I did but I will definitely keep an eye for when they restock some of the darker greys or whites. This is a small investment I don’t mind making over and over again!

Fresh washed linen sheets

Love the smell of freshly washed linen sheets and chocolate. It is no wonder they are so often paired together in hotels. These specific sheets from H&M were in one of my previous curated wishlists here, while the weaved basket can be found here. Looking back at my monthly wishlists there are some (though admittedly very few) things that I haven’t ended up buying due to budget, so I am planning to revisit some soon and make amends. It is quite hard to stay within budget every month, especially when unexpected things pop up that I should do instead, such as, travelling for interior design shows or similar. Speaking of which, I am still debating if I should attend the 3 days of Design in Copenhagen at the end of the month, I do hope I will be able to however. Another expense that has been a long time coming is a new camera (the one I use is a very old entry level DSLR), but I am still on the fence on which brand and then which accessories. I have a NikonD40x right now and I think I should keep with the same company due to already having a great lens for it, but I might also just sell this possibly and go for a Canon instead. Before June starts however I will have made up my mind but if you have any recommendations I would be happy to hear your thoughts!

Instagram Moments

Some random moments from my Instagram account. I take quite a few photos daily that do not make it into my blog, so I thought I should create a category to sometimes share them with you in bigger format. Some might not be perfect, but there is charm in their imperfection and I love them for that. Tomorrow I am flying to Copenhagen for a Design Letters event, can’t wait to share the news and photos when I come back! It is a one day short trip then back to Norway but since the airport is so much closer to the summer house we will be staying there for a night or two as well. Always great to change it up a little bit right? Feel free to follow me either on Snapchat ( username katerina.dima ) or Instagram for candid real time updates. Got to run if I want to make it on time, lets hope I make all my connecting flights! (Always a stress factor when I am flying!)

Winter Cozyness from Type Hype, with love from Berlin

Ad // Sponsored post in collaboration with Type Hype Berlin. All opinions are my own.

A few weeks ago I introduced a collaboration with Type Hype on my Instagram , under the hashtag #typehypestories . Today you can see the whole collection and some extra ones I kept for this blogpost. The theme for my photos was Winter Cosyness, and with all the snow and cold that occurred during January and this month, I felt it was aptly chosen. I loved the pillows spelling the word COZY, and I cannot really have enough notebooks and designer gift tags. You will see some of their posters as well around my house in the future (some I have already posted on my instagram), it is really a store with many products that fit perfectly with my love for typography. If you want to read more about it I wrote earlier about it in this post, so feel free to take a look for more of their carefully curated collection.

A bedroom sneak peek

As you know last few weeks (or even  months) I have been renovating my bedroom. Mainly that involved painting the walls and some of the furniture, while also building a shelf under the window to serve as a headboard as well as extra storage space. I am sharing a sneak peek today since the room is not finished ( I m missing some decorations and some furniture), but you can see the newly painted bits and pieces ( the walls are now white and dusty pink, the chairs are a dusty pink and the color of the year, an ochre gold by Nordsjo and the drawers I painted a pale grey from what it appeared to be eggshell white that also had a faux vintage look). On my messy shelf I have also added Christmas lights, they look amazing during the afternoon and night! If you want to see some of the before photos feel free to click here and here although I will be much more elaborate on my next post when I show the room properly :) I have moved the bed from the side wall under the window now, it is so much better position, especially with the newly build shelf!

Get the look : Sheets by Beach House Company (plain smoke), Flip Mirror by Normann Copenhagen in White, Candleholder Line byLassen in White, Muuto Silent Vase , BKR water bottle, Lelabo Santal 33 perfume, Kahler Hammershøi candleholders.

Relaxing Sunday

Photos by Katerina Dima

After a couple of exciting days in Gothenburg it feels so nice to be back home at my own bed and enjoy a relaxing Sunday. Although to be honest I wouldn’t mind repeating this week all over again! I met so many people that I only knew through their blogs or instagram and I cannot compliment enough the Nordsjo people and everyone that was involved into the organization of our day. I can get back to normal rhythms though now which is something I do not mind at all given that I have much stored for this blog next few weeks! Now though I think it is time to finally get up and start my day, breakfast, then a hike then get some work done for the blog! Tomorrow I am hoping to get to Songdal early and get the color of the year from the Nordsjo store ( it was included in my gift box from the event however I couldn’t get it through customs) and possibly some of of the new colors I saw in the presentation. I have so much to do but it feels great to start a busy week like this after a nice relaxing weekend! Wish everyone a great and productive week ahead :)

Pink tones in my Bedroom

I can’t help but decorate my bedroom extra feminine while I am in Greece and I am not sharing it with my boyfriend. Although he never complains I would never want him to be uncomfortable so this is my free reign of experimentation that cannot affect him. It is good to get it out of my system although I am pretty sure by the time I return to Norway I will have sorely missed all my color and styling choices there! Time to go back to studying , hope you have a great week everyone!

Quick update!

Hello everyone!
Yes I know I haven’t been posting lately but I promise I will be back to business as usual as soon I return back home to Norway :)
For now I am going to fill you in with some news about what I have been doing lately and links so do read on if you are interested!
As you already know I am still in Greece finishing my degree and I don’t think I have had a moments of peace and quiet until today. I was expecting the presentation to be mid to end of November but I just found out yesterday that it’s actually late October! Bummer. I have been planning to do a lot of things in between but now I have literally only time for studying. Good news however is that I will be back home a month earlier so hey not everything is as bad as it seems!
I have been knitting before I sleep as a way to relax and I am loving it! I started with this amazing stitch that is so beautiful and easy called Raspberry or Trinity Stitch. If you know how to knit the link is a Youtube video and it’s how I learned how to do it myself! The pot looks amazing don’t you think?
While here I have been busy with some interviews so if you want to know more about my style and my home you can check both! So click below for each one and you get bonus points for spotting  photos I have yet to post on my blog :)
Lovely Marta made a feature about me at iBoligen.dk and although it’s in Finnish google translator works amazingly for those that don’t know the language! Thank you Marta for translating and featuring me!
⏩ I answered questions also for lovely Tara and you can read the interview at estMagazine and this one is in English. Thank you sweet Tara for featuring me as well!
I can’t wait to get back to Norway and now that the first shock of earlier presentation has set in I am so excited to be back so much sooner than I originally expected! Here’s to looking forward to Xmas holidays hopefully this time with 10 times as much snow as last year!
I will leave you with some snaps from my Instagram, I am very much active there for those that wish to have regular updates about me!

Design Letters in my Bedroom

As a lot of you know I am spending a few more weeks in Greece and thus staying in my parents home. For the time I will be staying here I had to change rooms and say goodbye to the custom beautiful build in shelves I had created (as viewed here) and move to a different room. I loved my old premises but I saw this as a wonderful opportunity for a change. I thought it would be a great way to test sleeping in new colors and since I am alone here why not create a soft feminine pastel environment? I haven’t grown tired of white but a change is always welcome! I painted the walls a beautiful dirty pastel pink and I couldn’t be happier about it! Therefore as soon as I saw this months competition in NiB I knew my new bedroom would fit right in :)
(This will be my contribution to the NiB challenge!)
Onto the decoration itself!
Today I received in my mail a package I have been so excited and couldn’t wait for it to arrive.
I think you all know how much I love the Design Letters brand ( you can follow them on Facebook and on Instagram as well for exciting news), their products appear multiple times on my blog (here or here or here or here or here , I daresay there are too many links to include) and on my Instagram (here and here and here for example). So how can I not be impatient when I know a big Design Letters package was traveling my way?
A little background on the brand, Design Letters is a Danish Design Company that has introduced first wooden letters, then porcelain cups, plates, vases teapots etc with a typography hand drawn in 1937 by the world renowned Danish Architect Arne Jacobsen.
Before I even started blogging I was feverishly trying to find where I could buy a cup like the ones I was seeing in all the Nordic blogs with my initial on. It didn’t take me long time before I found out about Design Letters and their products and they have been one of my favorites every since then.
After I came to Greece I have suffered from loss of space since I had to change rooms. My new bedroom is a little smaller than the previous one  when it comes to one of its side and for some time now I have been looking for the perfect night stand that wouldn’t take too much space. The Design Letters Table to Go fits perfectly beside my bed plus you can pick it up from its handle and transport it anywhere with ease! I can’t wait to get this back to Norway, it will look great in my living room beside the couch! Another little touch is the Television Mirror that I hang above it, perfect to get a glimpse of yourself! All in all this just became my favorite corner to sit and drink my tea in the afternoon!

In my Bedroom

New things are making their way into my old bedroom in an attempt to make it more homey.
I had to move from my previous space so no more shelves for me! I am going to be spending some weeks here but since it’s my last long stay in Greece I am trying to enjoy it as much as I can  and having to change my accommodations doesn’t really bother me at all :)

How do you like the Muuto dots as a hanging solution next to my bed? Or the beautiful Bright Sprout pendant Nordic Tales send to me a few days ago? I love the subtle red cord it gives a bit of color that my grey white bedroom needs! It was so hard to choose between colors, the pendant is completely customization with a variety of colors for the cords and wooden bodies but that’s a story for another day , very soon I promise!

Hope everyone is having a great week!
