Casual in Camel

Casual in Camel   A color I can get behind…Camel hues via my friends at Third Form. The clean lines of this classic coat, in this case, are offset with an oversized scarf, sneakers and messy hair for an altogether comfy, casual and slightly unexpected look. My version of off-off-duty! Wearing Coat c/o Third Form (no longer avail. […]

Function & Form

Function & Form   When you wear a lot of all-black everything like me, you rely on a twist of a classic to make an all black wardrobe feel different, despite having re-occuring pieces that can feel similar or the same. I seem to have an endless amount of black coats, pants & tops but […]

Grey Days

Grey Days   When I collaborated on my Capsule Collection with Third Form I knew I wanted to create pieces that were effortless on their own in Spring and Summer, but I also wanted them to transition easily into Fall. In this case, opposites attract, layered lightweight silk skirt from the collection here, with an oversized, chunky knit for […]

Cardigans + Cut Outs

Cardigans + Cut Outs   Unexpected combination, in an unexpected season… A giant Knit Cardigan layered with all black everything, in theory, is most suited for Fall. But since I’m impatient, I couldn’t resist draping this hand made knit coat over the lightest of dresses and making it work now. Wore this several weeks ago just around the time […]

Bare Shoulders + Bell Sleeves

Bare Shoulders + Bell Sleeves   I am always looking for ways to incorporate knitwear into my Summer rotation. Enter this Third Form top…while the fluffy knit-like quality may seem too heavy for the season and is not an option for the hottest of days, off the shoulder styling, relaxed fit & cropped bell sleeves give it just enough elements to […]

Effortless Edge

Effortless EDGE   My style mantra seems to be effortless, modern with a hint of edge on repeat…Simple but statement-making, bold yet minimal. I’m always looking for that balance and pieces that represent that philosophy.  In this case it’s a new timepiece by Movado. While this watch checks off all the boxes for form and function, […]

How to Reinvent Basics

How to reinvent basics and make your wardrobe go the extra mile Wearing: Monogrammed Oversized French Cuff Shirt – Anna Quan | ‘Roll Seam’ Wool Trousers – Third Form | Nude Sandals – Schutz | Boyfriend Blazer (similar) | Ring Buckle Belt (Similar) I was not invited to a great many social outings in my – describable only as –  geeky teenage years, complete with the quintessential vampire fan fiction writing and online forum frequenting phases, naturally. My very limited wardrobe reflected as much. So on the rare occasion I had an occasion, I was invariably, the frumpy girl in the corner in her t-shirt and jeans. Of course, in those days my tendency to dress plainly was due to a complete inability to grasp fashion or trends. Now that I fancy myself as knowing better, I rather think that I was on the right track after all. Must we always find ourselves in the predicament of having ‘nothing to wear’, and needing to run out immediately for a new outfit? Last year, I wrote about wearing basics better. Today I’m extending this discussion to reinventing basics. On the one hand, this is to transform something everyday into something a little bit extraordinary, and on the other, to discover new ways […]

cut above…

Cut Above   Of course this slit says it all !! ; ) While I’m obsessed with the attention to detail in this look from the slit on the skirt, the neckline of the coat and effortless drape in the blouse, this outfit to me is all about a slight nod to contradiction. I love […]
