So, I’m pretty excited for the holidays. Before I had Enzo I actually never decorated our home. But you know, when you become a mom, you get all soft and all.. ;) But I have to say it’s now my favourite thing to do; buying a tree together, decorating the house and have Christmas breakfast for with just the three of us. And with my black and gold obsession, it should not come as a surprise that my Christmas decorations are any different. Eventhough I didn’t had the time to buy any new decorations, I did receive a surprise box from Blokker with all kinds of Christmas decorations. I just can’t get over that golden cutlery. LOVE it! I’m super happy with how my table turned out, it feels like a little party that’s going on in my dining area. During the holidays it just needs to pop! Can’t wait for Christmas morning! Unwrap gifts and have breakfast with my own little family. Thanks, Blokker, for saving our Christmas breakfast with all the golden interior goodies! And, to all my readers: ENJOY the holidays!

Styled a new corner in our living room. Love how the white, grey and black comes together, and yes.. I’m still a big fan of the marble hype in my home. Got the XL lamp, mirror, marble candle holder and marble table at my latest online shop-addiction: Westwing. It’s basically a designer interior outlet with brands like Hay, Zuiver, Vita, Pols en Potten, Bloomingville, you name it. Every day they add new sales and campaigns with different items and brands, so I pretty much check their website every single week (yes, it’s that bad!). Can’t wait until we can decorate our new home! It will still takes about 9 months before it’s done. We just finished designing our new home with an architect, and then soon the building can start. I just can’t wait, it feels like forever!

WEARING RIGHT: MANGO JUMPSUIT, ALEXANDER WANG FABIANA STRAPPY HEELS, CHLOE FAYE BAG Today I have the honour to speak at a new summer event: Share A Perfect Day in Holland and share some of my styling secrets. For my presentation I picked the theme: travelling. How to pack lighter, smarter and more efficiently. You can’t have too many tips and tricks when it comes to packing, right? During Fashion Week season, or any other time when I had to pack my bag, the seams of my suitcase always look if they were about to burst. And even when I could manage to close the damn thing, the weight exceeded the maximum weight. And so, the downsizing began and so did the headache. Time for a change! I created a way to pack my bag as efficiently possible: the 14 days, 14 ways plan. So, how does that work? I will tell you… In this case I picked 7 winter/fall items and 7 spring/summer items from my closet (yes, that includes shoes!). Why, because I want to be prepared for any kind of weather. I’ve choosen neutral colored items so that each item will be interchangeable and will match the others. You might need an hour (or two) to mix&match but I can assure you, it’s really worth the effort. Another huge advantage is you always know what to wear, so you can save yourself some time with sorting out outfits in an overfull and chaotic suitcase during your Holiday! So, from now on: keep calm and start packing! PS: In collaboration with bagageonline.nl, you can use the discountcode COTTDS to receive 10% off your SuitSuit suitcase.
