That Christmas Mood

I’m really embracing this dark wintery mood as the short days make it inevitable that we spend more time without sunlight. Rather than fight it, as is always my first inclination, I’m welcoming the dark corners and candlelit evenings. With Christmas co…

Christmas Prelude

This magical period of the year resonates with LM’s universe and spirit. Winter whites even at home. Creating a polar atmosphere with silvery, white decorations, and well thought or meticulous details. All things minimal with modern metallic hangings, …

8 metallic candle holders

I’m finding it hard to adjust to the seasons, mostly just for the lack of light. The evening comes much sooner now and doing homework with the kids and making dinner when the sky is black, I’m feeling slow to adjust to it all. One of the best remedies to the dark months are those cozy elements that we really don’t need in the summer. The fireplace, a warm blanket, wool socks, and of course (and most importantly) candle light! That’s why I’ve gathered 8 of my favorite Scandinavian candle holders, along with a few others down below. Candle light can carry you through otherwise bleak and dark weather to make the most of this time by creating a cozy and inviting environment!

Plaid Behaviour

They call it a bluebird day right?  When there’s not a cloud in the sky and sun shines far beyond the horizon or as far as the eye can see. It’s cold where I live right now but this week we’ve had a whole week of bluebird days in a row and even though it […]

Chanel Fall 2017

As an admirer from afar, or even if you’re lucky enough like to be a guest like myself at a Chanel show, the only certainty is that you must expect the unexpected.  Every season the Chanel universe evolves, morphs and transforms so greatly, that we may assume that only Mr Lagerfeld himself knows where the […]

Beaufille Fall Winter 2017

I think it might be at least 2 seasons ago now that I met up with Chloé and Paris the ridiculously chic power duo behind Beaufille, in Paris.  I remember walking up a very narrow set of creaky dark wooden stairs that opened up into the beautiful French apartment with extra high ceilings and floor […]

Alpine Shelter ‘Bivak Na Prehodavcih’ By Premica Architects

Slovenian architect’s office Premica Architects rebuilt a former bunker from World War I into a cozy mountainside retreat. During the war, a number of high-alpine fortresses were installed throughout Europe, some of which were transformed into cabins for mountaineers. Located in Triglav National Park, Slovenia, the newly designed alpine bivouac stands on concrete foundations, on […]

Sunday Sanctuary: Winter Sun

Aaaah Australian Summer, I do love you, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wish you were a little on the colder side sometimes. You see in my neck of the woods a wool coat is only warranted a couple of days a year and the beach is considered a year round destination. […]

8 Ways to Wear Dresses in Winter

Don’t say goodbye to dresses when the temperature drops – here are 8 ways to wear dresses in winter Whether you’re lamenting the end of summer, or rejoicing in winter layering ops, don’t space bag those dresses just yet. The key to mastering the perfect minimal wardrobe is stocking up on versatile pieces and knowing that a little bit of creativity can make anything work the extra mile. The transformative qualities of a dress from summer to winter cannot be understated. Here are 8 ways to wear dresses in winter. 1 Blazer it Warm up those shoulders by throwing a blazer over strappy dresses and lacy numbers. Keep the look boxy with an boyfriend blazer, or create an ultra-feminine silhouette by buttoning up, or haphazardly cinching the wast with a belt. As the temperature drops, add chunky scarf and sleek boots, too taste. Being nonchalantly underdressed, flat shoes are, of […]

casually edgy 2016 goals

Happy new year! January has become the month to focus, and work on some very exciting projects – can’t wait to share more details soon, stay tuned. But I want to talk about something more important today, three new year goals that I came up with for this year. Without further ado, here they are: Get more organized. Make lists and stick to them. Or try your very best! For instance, if you have 10 items in your to-do list, prioritize. If you get the top 3 key items, you’re doing great. And keep a journal next to your bed, this will help you get your thoughts down before you sleep or even in the middle of the night. Be more positive. Because the world is so negative as is and it’s up to you to change that cycle. The only way to dream is to keep the negativity out and be more thankful about what you have. Yes, there’s always someone who will be doing better, and something going wrong, but this is your life. Focus on yourself and your dreams. LOVE more, fewer people. One of the most important things I’ve learned from 2015 is to find a good […]

WON HUNDRED

While still remaining away from festive posts and decorations [my one and only christmas tree lights don’t work any more, no time for that!] and just because of the chance of a warmer weather that permitted a no-coat look, I grabbed it with pleasure.     I was so excited to share with you some …

The Thick Of It

Oversized knitwear never goes out of fashion, who wouldn’t say no to a slouchy cashmere cardigan on a cold and windy day.  Even if you’re in the northern hemisphere I suggest that you always keep a good knit by your side, you just never know when you’ll find yourself in need of a pair of […]
