Just Call Me The Storm Dodger

What’s the deal with this weather, one minute it’s sunny the next torrential rain and lightning. I just want to get out in the sun without worrying if I’ve got an umbrella (just in case). I love proper summer evenings in London, sitting outside a bar or in the garden with a crisp glass of wine, catching up with friends or watching the world go by. I shouldn’t complain, I’m off to Italy in a few days to celebrate the marriage of two very good friends, I can’t wait.

In the meantime, I’ve been sporting an old bomber jacket that’s proved to be such a good buy. It came from an American website that sadly closed a little while back. It wasn’t expensive but that has attracted a lot of attention, it’s rare I wear it and someone doesn’t ask me where it’s from. I’m also wearing the comfiest dress ever! Sideparty are an East London K-fashion brand that launched their first collection earlier this year. I don’t often wear burgundy, not intentionally, mostly I just forget how much I like it.

If you’re looking for a laptop sleeve, I couldn’t recommend O My Bag more, the Amsterdam based brand do lots of things just the way I like it. They work with eco-leather made with a cleaner and safer tanning process, they take care of their workers in Kolkata, India giving them fair wages, benefits, offer education and training, and give equal-work opportunities to women and minorities. And they’re not expensive!

I’m wearing:
Sideparty Low Key Ribbed Dress in Burgundy | Quilted Bomber Jacket in Khaki (old, similar here & here) | O My Bag Laptop Sleeve | Woman by Common Projects Original Achilles Low Trainers | Nixon The Time Teller (customised in-store) | Ace & Tate Sebastian Sunglasses in Bio Black | Missoma Engravable Initial Necklace in Gold
