There once was a time that you couldn’t get me within a 5 metre radius of the colour maroon.
Blame it on the fact that it was the dominant colour of my school uniform for the vast majority of my childhood, or on the fact that I was monochromatically monogamous to B&W. Either way these days I can’t get enough (obviously, ha!) of the mar-own tone.
My favourite way to wear the hue is to go tone on tone one tone. A cut-out McQ Alexander McQueen knit with a pair of matchy chromatic pants and ankle boots and you’ve got yourself the trifecta amigos..
