Most of the time you’ll find me in a “colour” palette of black, grey & a little white. Sometimes some blue denim makes it into a look as well – when I am feeling colourful. But since my move to Berlin about a month ago, I have been expanding the usual palette a little.

I always find it interesting how changes in our life also affect our wardrobe – at least that’s how it works for me. Moving to a new city, and an extremely diverse one at that, has given me a new boost of inspiration. A new life always calls for some sartorial adventures as well! And while I feel like the more minimal, muted looks are still very much ‘me’, I have been playing with accents more to spice things up.

Because even once you’ve found your signature style, it doesn’t mean you can’t switch things up while still maintaining a certain aesthetic. Which is why I will bring you 3 different minimal spring style looks over the next week that feel fresh, but still suit a muted & minimal way of dressing.

First one up: adding colour. An easy colour to incorporate in your minimal looks is navy… been there, done that. So instead I decided to play with two different shades of navy and add another colour: burgundy (gah, I know, so much colour ha!). The two different pinstripes add some playfulness to the look; I wanted it to look light & effortless. That’s what the sunny seasons are all about! And you can easily take this look from day to night as well: simply swap the Adidas Stan Smith kicks for a pair of heeled sandals (or, of course, loafers) and drape the blazer over your shoulders. Et voila.

PS. Talking about fun & easy: Zalando has recently launched a Topshop campaign with none other than the fun it-girl herself: Cara Delevingne! Check it out here & shop from wherever you are (with free shipping)!
