Japanese design studio id inc created the SUMIYOSHIDO Kampo Lounge, a minimal mint-green herbal pharmacy lined with uniform medicine shelves. Constructed with oriental medical practices in mind, the space offers a clinical space for acupuncture and encourages those who are interested in the traditions of herbal medicine to learn more about it.

In a statement about the project located in Japan, id inc says: “The space painted in mint green color freshly expresses a world of herbal medicine, which is derived from plants. The soft color is intended to create a curiously ambivalent atmosphere, where heaviness and lightness of furniture coexist. In contrast, the clinic for acupuncture and moxibustion is a quiet space painted in uniformed white.”
