A penthouse apartment is being built inside Herzog & de Meuron’s recently completed philharmonic hall in Hamburg, at a cost of £6.9 million for an anonymous client. The two-storey penthouse apartment will be located on the 24th and 25th floors of the Elbphilharmonie, where floor-to-ceiling glazing below the building’s scalloped roofline will give views along the Elbe River. Drones offer fly-through preview of Herzog de Meuron’s Elbphilharmonie Hamburg

For those who can’t wait for the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg to open next month, creative agency Jung von Matt has released an interactive movie tour of the building filmed by drones. Jung von Matt worked with producers Simon & Paul to create the movie tour of the opera house – a building designed by Swiss architects office Herzog & Meuron.

When designing the furniture for Herzog & de Meuron’s £163 million concert hall, Daniel Schöning, Eva Marguerre and Marcel Besau opted for a monochrome colour palette to keep the focus on the surrounding architecture.
