repetition /rɛpɪˈtɪʃ(ə)n/ noun 1. The action of repeating something that has already been said or written. The theme of repetition has been on my mind quite a bit lately. When you really look, you will notice that it exists all around us. Repetition in nature, language, design and art, being some of the places that I love

Scandinavian, mid-century modernist, minimalist, three words that accurately describe Louise Liljencrantz. And we totes agree. Liljencrantz background is in the fields of graphic design and fashion design… Which explains alot. Inspired by Totême’s SS18

Elin Kling’s Totême line has the most beautiful basics, their current line consists of these shaped trousers and sweater that are absolutely on my wishlist. The pieces feel timeless yet ultra current, sleek and minimal as well as flattering. What I’m really liking however are the photos of Totême’s SS18 collection which includes the bottom photos, like that double breasted trench and a gauzy tunic. Even though the fashion world thinks a year in advance, I find it a little bind blowing to think of Spring and Summer of 2018! We still have very hot weather here so I’m not even in Fall mode yet!

Introducing some new home episodes. Keep all things fresh and minimal within these large open white spaces, and simply involve a polar, oceanic, and botanical environment. The laws of nature are ever-present. The code “LINESMANNER” offers 25% off posters (except … Continue reading

Weekend Mode and Personal Health

Saturday isn’t over yet, or so I keep telling myself in regards to the to-do list I made yesterday that I have not even scratched the surface of yet. I’m a great list maker, sometimes it is the single motivation I need to get going on tasks, knowing that I get to tick off each item and by the end of the day I will have the physical proof that the day was not spent in vain.

Today isn’t shaping into one of those days where I’ll end up with a list of scratched off accomplishments because, I am tired. The truth is I’m tired a lot. How do you know when you’re just tired from lack of sleep or mental stress or when it’s your body’s way of communicating with you?

JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content.

For me, I’ve been tired for years but I also have two young kids and squeeze in work around their schedules so it feels validated to be perpetually tired however last Winter I felt pretty fed up and finally saw a doctor. It’s taken from early December ’16 until this just this last week to figure out what the heck is going on in my body and why I never seem to have energy and why I’ve not felt all that healthy, to be quite honest.

Though my test results are back I still have to wait another 3 weeks to meet with the doctor and see what she recommends. In the meantime I’m not going to feel to guilty for my lack of to-do list accomplishments. After all it is the weekend, the ideal time to do a lot little bit of nothing without feeling like a terrible adult.

Imager from Artilleriet and their appropriately named “Enjoy the Silence” collection.

We’ve almost made it to summer (yayy!), and so it’s time to think what we will be wearing on holiday and those long summer days. You know I hardly wear colours but this SS17 got me to love some pink splashes here and there. I thought of rounding up for you the 5 top pink […]

Trend: Tonal

It’s no secret that adopting a tonal colour palette is one of 2017’s biggest trends. The seemingly minimalist trend emphasises a new modern aesthetic, complemented by sophisticated and delicately manipulated forms. Perfectly proportioned layering, with a focus on simple shapes and emphasised structure holds the key to mastering the mixed shades of neutral, along with the pairing of different textures […]

0117 Collection

0117 Collection

2016 was not what I expected it to be. It was in fact one of the worst years of my life but somehow it all turned out well. I feel very excited about this new year and I also feel deeply grateful for the resilience and the inner strength that last year helped me build.

Last year I went from losing my father to being able to finish up my book which I cannot even start to explain how hard and transforming it was all at the same time. I launched a theme collection, worked on some projects with a lot of success and on some others that turned into utter failure, but that’s life in the end, isn’t it? A continued falling and dusting off.

I’m looking to 2017 with the same expectation I did last year, fully knowing in my heart that this is going to be a better year — that I will keep striving, pushing through bad moments and embracing the good times with an open heart.

There’s so much I want to do this year, one step at a time of course, but the road ahead is always very exciting: New projects are in-the-making and new people I’m collaborating with this year who keep me feeling inspired, a new collection is almost finished and my book is being read and commented on by many Bloggers — which means the world to me.

I cannot thank YOU enough for all your support, your kindness and the honor of having you as clients, partners and most importantly, friends.

The collection above sets the tone for what you’re about to see in this quarter. I hope you’ll join me and take small steps until the unveiling of my new projects. You will also see more of me on social media… so if you’re interested in taking a peek into my life and work, feel free to follow.

Have a wonderful, blessed and peaceful 2017.
