With Thanksgiving now over here in the States, it’s officially Christmas time. Yesterday the kids and I made these simple DIY ornaments that made the house smell like heaven. The recipe or how-to is incredibly simple and you might already have everything in your cupboards now.
Mix equal parts applesauce and ground cinnamon (approx 1 cup each), adding a spoonful more of the cinnamon if the mixture is still to wet and sticky. I added some glitter also only because I had some leftover form another project and it was in the same tone as the mixture, but this isn’t necessary. Roll out your dough and cut with cookie cutters, carefully transfer them to a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake 1.5 to 2 hrs at 200 F / 94 C. I let these cool uncovered overnight and then tied pieces of black twine through each.
